In anticipation of a forthcoming report on Business Schools and the Public Good, Tom Levitt chairs a discussion on why business schools need to promote responsibility and sustainability in business in all that they do (57 minutes). After a brief introduction from Professor Cathy Cassell, of Birmingham Business School, Tom introduces a keynote speech by Paul Polman, former CEO of Unilever and now board chair at Oxford Saïd Business School. Tom then chairs a discussion featuring Professor Martin Kitchener of Cardiff Business School (Tom’s co-author of the forthcoming report), Caroline Hill of Lloyds Banking Group and Yvonne Hackforth-Williams of Birmingham Business School.
The discussion was part of ‘Shaping the Future of Responsible Business in a New World‘, the 2021 conference of Lloyds Banking Group Centre for Responsible Business at Birmingham Business School. (Scroll down to ‘Education and Business’ for the video).
